Date: January 15, 2025 Issued By: New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP)
ATTENTION: Due to water main damage and subsequent repairs related to the Main Street reconstruction project on January 14, 2025, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect for all residents and businesses in Flemington Borough until further notice.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Boil all water for at least one minute and let it cool before using it for:
Drinking
Cooking
Making ice
Brushing teeth
Washing fruits and vegetables
Use bottled water as an alternative where possible.
Discard any ice made after the water main damage occurred.
WHAT HAPPENED: The water main damage may have caused a drop in pressure, potentially allowing contaminants to enter the water system. NJDEP is conducting testing to ensure water safety.
DURATION: This advisory remains in effect until further notice. We will notify the public when the water is deemed safe for consumption by NJDEP. Updates will be provided as they become available.
FOR MORE INFORMATION: See the attached advisory or contact Flemington Borough Water and Sewer or NJDEP at 908-531-4395. Updates will also be posted on historicflemington.com, Borough Social media and the Flemington Borough Alert System.
